I Write Lines For Punishment

I do write lines for punishment but I also need to write them just for the sake of writing them sometimes.
I almost quite like to write them. I find them most satisfying when done.
It was suggested by a knowledgeable one that they "centre and soothe" me.
I think this is correct and a simple but elegant way of putting it.

Actually, if writing lines helps to center you and calm you, I think they are a good thing. But do they make you feel repentant for whatever got you in trouble? That, IMO, is the number one reason for a punishment.

Two sides of the same coin@Klt3sHottie

@Ainhoa gotcha. Makes a lot of sense. I used to be required to write apology letters. Now, I write every thing I am feeling via emails,including apologies on my own.

It is a part of punishment here. Spanking and grounding and within grounding is the line writing. The number of lines is determined by the offense, if weekends are included in the grounding and so on. Of course, they have to be neat or the page on which the "sloppy" one appears needs to be re-done

@margaretv clarity at least.

@Ainhoa For sure. I always knew if I messed up what would happen. Very consistent.

@margaretv consistency is excellent
I think I understand. There are ways in which I reenact punishments and abuses because there's comfort and security in familiarity. It's what I know.

@PhoenixPhail plus mental absorption
@Ainhoa Yes. And a means of continuing what's familiar, and so, secure and comforting.

I spank some of my after-school students, a much better punishment than writing lines

It’s to do with when punishment becomes pleasure. @mathsman

I find it hard to understand.

What lines do you write
What have you done
Ainhoa · 46-50, F
@Barebum61 I do what I need when I need
margaretv · 22-25, F
@Barebum61 the lines relate to the offense so things like "I must respect my parents at all times" for example. Things like that
Ainhoa · 46-50, F
@margaretv quite a few I musts but all sorts, any old thing really, whatever set.
But nothing to do with parents. Lol
