Different personality types prefer different overtones. Perfumes have major and minor overtomes in scent. Scents of floral or fruit blossoms blended with woody or musky scents. I find quiet reserved women like the spicey overtoned ones while the more outgoing ones like the floral and musky accented ones a little better. One blend might be better suited for a younger woman while another might be more appropriate to a more chunky female.
That's not something just anyone can do. Find a frenchman who's mom or dad told him something about this subject. Or search on google. Or: here's a cut and paster to get you started.
There's some that are out of production that are very expensive now. I know The Anne Kleins and her understudy Jessica McClintock had a few really good ones. So did Anna Karan that were later replaced by close but not the same vintages. I think the last bottle (3.5oz) I bought someone off Ebay was originally 18.00 and about ten years ago I had to drop 80 for a 1.8oz.
I know a bottle of original Burberry I was in a bid war for once ran up to about 600. Yeah. I didn't get that one, that's a completely obscene price. lol
I personally love Coolwater by Davidoff, or Amerage by Givinchi, or Poison, or Longing by coty, or Gap Dream which you can still buy off of Ebay.....Or the body shop white musk the original one not the offshoots.
