Sunglasses. Do you normally purchase designer or cheap ones?

Designer. I have a fetish for sunglasses and my eyes are weak in the sun so they are a must-have for me. I have ... LOL. I truly don't know what I have, but I have 5 - 6 pairs of Gucci sunglasses, 4 pairs of Police, 1 pair of Lacoste. 1 pair of Ray Ban (in need of repair) I think that's it, but then again I don't know for sure. The sunglasses I wear right now (that I wear most of the time) are Police sunglasses. The arms on the glasses virtually close when they aren't being worn, which means I can simply slide them into the side of my neck with no chance of ever losing them.

OH! ... hahaha. The sunglasses I have are all such good build quality and always feel nice to wear. If I damage a lens from the Gucci sunglasses I have, I can be replacement lenses or simply buy another pair of lenses to make them a different pair of sunglasses

(Wow ... did I write all that 😱) So sorry 😊
@Justbychance Police sunglasses? Like the aviator type?
@CereBellum Well, yes. But 'Police' are branded named sunglasses and their range includes a lot of Aviator type sunglasses based on the actual preferred Police Force. Just a couple of pairs to give you an idea of how they look :-) ...

Ever since I had lasik... cheap cheap cheap. My favorites right now I actually got for free. 😬
@dumpstermeow This is very true. My daughter bought special sunglasses for her new husband who is colorblind. He hates the design. Whoops 😬
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
@CereBellum maybe they can exchange them?
@dumpstermeow For $400-450, they had better.

Good ones. Doesn't matter how much they cost. I don't give a shit on the brand, because almost every designer brands are manufactured by Luxottica.

I've used polarized aviator style glasses in the last 15-20 years, and I didn't care what the brand was (mainly Ray-Bans and Polariods).

i look for particular types.. i suffer from wet amd.

so, if they're dark, not too big on the face and light weight... oh and has something that represents UV protection...

? ok.
@sighmeupforthat OMG, I am really really sorry to hear about your AMD. My friend also has this in one eye caused by a hemorrhagic stroke, many yrs ago. Lucentis has saved his vision, as well as cataract surgery.

@CereBellum all i have to do is take my malignant hypertensive cocktail.

it keeps the b.s. at bay. i had a MH attack (malignant..... hypertension) bp was 290/225 and wow, vented out the retinas and hurt!

i couldn't see for weeks... the pain! the pain.

finally they had a name for the condition (other than that it was the blame game i wasn't taking med or following this or that diet blah blah doctors blah blah)

and this one and only one doctor that treated me and i was his only patient with MH with a load of drugs and it helped tremendously.

'course i gotta take 'em forever.

.......... fun sunglasses fact, people make fun of you if you wear them .. inside, outside, sunny, night, cloudy, rain, snow... wind.... :P
@sighmeupforthat Yeah, I know. I am one of those people that wears them during all those conditions. I have had a few surgeries on one eye, and bright light causes sensitivity.

I like designer ones. More for function but I like to have ones that look nice. I prefer Maui Jims
