I'd Rather Be Dreaming Than Living

I have found life to be a hostile and unforgiving place...the harsh reality of living having completely obliterated all my hopes and dreams, the only place I now feel safe and happy is when I escape into my dreams. I wish I could have the solitude to be left alone to escape into my dreamworld.

I relate, and for some time I did retreat from the world...4-years actually. Now, I'm facing the world again, but I still spend most of my time in solitude, and the dreams are being replaced with reality, but I don't think I'll ever go back fully into the world.

I think we have to make our own world. Live as we want to live. Choose the life we want, and not one prescribed for us by social pressures and peers.

I know this feeling. Except I still hold on to some hopes and dreams. But I, too, would love to just escape into a dream world and only return to reality when I choose to, not because I have to.

I would love nothing more than to just slip into a dream and never wake up. This world isn't all bad, but it's nothing compared to a dream.
