I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I learned to wash my heart everyday with the remembrance of Allah, and to endure my life with patience. [i]Islam heals the wounds[/i] that I got from this world. Whenever we are in a position to help someone, we should just do it and be glad, because Allah is answering someone's prayers through us. In Paradise, we will always smile, and stay happy forever, we will live an eternal and immortal life in limitless wealth and bliss, prepared for us by an All-Creative, All-Powerful Deity. There will be no more depression, sadness, pain, or poverty.

I appreciate the goals mentioned. However in this world full of chaos wouldn't it be better to speak a common language ? Your story would look far far better if Allah is replaced by God and Islam is replaced by humanity or more generically ' kindness' !

@Madeleine I didn't understand the last statement.' What if I respect other people's beliefs, yet I believe in the Ultimate truth' . Are you saying that others belief are not as true as yours but you respect their beliefs. And your belief is the ultimate truth ?
If I understood it that way, I'm sorry...I don't agree with you. Every one believes their religious belief is the ultimate truth but truth is no one knows the ultimate truth. Pretending what we know is the ultimate truth is the biggest lie and it is the source of many evil. Every religion is a different path to God. God lies in every one of us, so does evil. It takes combined effort of many minds to feel godliness. For that we have to be grounded. If you were born in a Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or any other family you would have adopted that belief and believed that that is the ultimate truth. Many religions are born before Islam but it is not right to tell everyone that I believe this and it is the ultimate truth.
What we can do best it to learn good things from what we follow and spread the good things , not our beliefs. If we are proud to be part of a religion then we are equally responsible to guide our fellow religious mates to the path of goodness. That is the biggest need of the hour. The same time I am proud to be a Muslim, the very same time I am ashamed because of the wrong doings of the people of my religion. I have experienced people teaching hatred to kids in religious schools. I have heard my own religious mates killing other religious people. So I believe it's my responsibility not to categorize those people as non Islam . Instead I would love to fill their heart with love and encourage them to do so. People can change if advised in a right manner. Every devil can become good ., that's what everyone religion believes. So let's spend our energy on helping our sisters and brothers to follow the right practice. Let people don't believe Islam but if they develop love and care for everyone should one even blame them for not following any religion. Religion is just one of the means to destiny but not the destiny or ultimate truth.

@SW-User Thank you for your thoughts and I agree with a lot of what you said, especially the need of spreading love and peace among each other, which is also what Islam teaches.

However, I'm a Muslim, so naturally I believe that Islam is the ultimate Truth. Otherwise, I wouldn't be a Muslim in the first place- even if I was born to Muslim parents, and that's how I first was introduced to Islam, but as an adult, now I'm a Muslim because I believe in it.. not because I was born into it.

That's been said.. when I state that Islam is the Truth, doesn't mean that I invoke hatred towards people of other faiths, as I said before, I respect everyone's right to believe in what they believe- even an atheist who doesn't believe in the existence of God. Everyone has the right to claim that they are upon the truth. But I do not believe that all religions lead to God. There's only One God, and the path to God is One.

Every religion teaches different aspects about God, The Creator, and they all contradict each other. So, it's impossible to say that they all true.

Islam teaches us to learn to live with one another, to respect humanity and to develop the earth with goodness. Therefore, I do not need to use different terminology to talk about those virtues. The fact that I am a practicing Muslim requires me to respect everyone else.

@Anonymouslyyours86 Historically documented that Islam never been forced on any nation. Many non-Muslims lived peacefully under the Islamic rulings.
