I Like to Be Barefoot
I think I’ve converted my little cousin into a barefoot girl like me 😊
So we were all (me, mum, aunt & Imogen) headed out to the park and shops yesterday and I was dressed in my favourite tee dress, anklet and bare feet. When Imogen just looked shocked ! Aren’t you putting on shoes Katie? She asked. Well I answered no! With a huge smile 🙂 then next thing I knew she was all “mummy can I take my shoes and socks off and be like Katie?” Well much to Imogen’s dislike my Aunt Sue said a firm no! Poor baby Imogen looked as if she was going to cry 😢
So anyway we walked down the drive and hopped into the back seat of my mums car and off we went. What I didn’t see was that whilst sat behind my mum Imogen had kicked off her pumps and pulled off her cute pink socks 🧦 ahhh her toes were wiggling and free. Looked super cute too 😊
We went shopping first, just into Tesco to pick up some sandwiches and crisps for our trip to the park. I could tell Imogen absolutely loved the amazing contrast between the carpet in the car to the warm tarmac of the car park and then the cool tile in the store 🙂 I love it too. Next thing I heard as I was browsing apples in the fruit aisle was “IMOGEN WHERE ARE YOUR SHOES?” Aunt Sue didn’t look too pleased. Sweet Imogen giggled “in the car mum” I just laughed and told aunt Sue it’s alright I’ve been barefoot for 8 weeks! My gosh she looked mortified as if I’d stole the bag of Braeburn apples haha.
We continued on our way sure we had a few glances from the checkout girl that was monitoring the self serve but who cares.
Next stop the park! TBC
