I Want to Make a Difference In the World

I believe the best (perhaps only) way to do this is through education. It is very important that we teach the next generation values such as empathy, inclusion and social responsibility, as well as important thinking skills such as creative, analytical and critical thinking.
In other words, education needs to move beyond multiplication tables, lists of grammar rules, and dates of battles. Those are all nice, useful things to know. But what is really important is that the next generation can make the world a better place, and they're not going to solve it using algebra.
