I Love Art

Advice please....Ive made a sculpture from air dry clay..then accidently painted over a section of it in oil paint..oil paint takes ages to dry..or might easily come off...do i need to wash it off before applying acrylic like i meant to..or paint over in acrylic...i have a feeling that if the oil is wet..acrylic on top of oil will stay wet or rub away easy
