I'm debating whether or not I should quit the police program and join a cadet program with a fire department. I told my police adviser I would stick with them, but I am starting to regret it. I just hate how I can barely do anything when it comes to law enforcement. As a fire cadet I could go on actual runs and assist firemen/EMTs. I have been debating for awhile now.

I would talk to your advisor and just tell him you enjoy the program but you feel drawn to fire/rescue. He'll understand. One of many tough choices you'll have to make. It's OK as long as you're making the choice for your best interests. Good luck!
