I Am Grateful For My Life Lessons

Important life lessons I learned from Gym :-
1) Discipline :- you gotta go for it day in & day out , there will be days when you don't feel like it but that feeling is just temporary you gotta breakthrough those bad days when you are not feeling like & do it anyways .

2) Patience :- Anything we want to be better in life , requires loads & loads of patience , there will be people around you will always be better than you , which can make you feel either demotivated or quit all together . You gotta accept that your goal is personal & no matter how much time its going to take you will achieve it anyways .

3) Rest :-We are humans , we need rest . Its good to be passionate about your goal but you gotta need healthy body for achieving that and rest is an integral part for a healthy body.

4) Company :- The people you are working out with are equally important, you need to be with guess who share same goal as you, if not possible than doing it alone is much better than to be in company of those with whom you share no values

5) Pain is temporary :-There are occasions when the pain is so strong that it feels as if its going to last for lifetime but like before it stays for sometime & then leave .In life there are moments when it seems like everything is over but its not , good times, bad times they all are temporary , they are meant to come & go .

6) Don't be fooled by your limits :-
Our brain has this unique tendency to fool ourselves into thinking that we have reached our limits but reality is different ,whenever we feel like give up for a moment & take rest we must resist that moment for a short time & then go on to take rest , its a way to train mind that its not it controlling us but we using it for our own good .

Thank you

Is there a cliff notes version?

All right. I read.

Rest- id add rest is wise. It’s very possible to demotivate yourself by overworking.

Company- I’d add. I HATE working out with other people. But surrounding yourself with like minded people is important. Get rid of those that negativity influence you.

Pain- everyone’s fought to avoid it. Face it. Drive forward right through it. It will harden your resolve.

Limits- When your body tells you it’s done. It’s only given 50%.

Being in shape is like a personal science project. What lifting program, running program works for you, what diet? You figure it out over time.

If your starting from square one, just do tomorrow what you should have done yesterday.
