I Went Barefoot To School

I’m the only person at my school who takes advantage of the fact that we don’t have to wear shoes. Most of the time I don’t even bring shoes to school so I can go barefoot the whole time. One of my favorite memories was a day when I had to speak at a school assembly, and I purposefully didn’t bring shoes so I’d have to go barefoot. I had to stand in front of the whole school with absolutely no shoes on, and read to over a thousand shod people while I was completely barefoot. It felt so exhilarating.
