I Am a Sensitive Person

I was at work in the department she used to be in. Her absence was palpable, but I was muddling through. As I was looking through some old paperwork, I found an old and dated note from her and it made me long for the days when we saw one another every day. I felt a lot of emotions and took a photo of the note and sent it to her. Turns out it got her feeling sentimental too and we had a nice conversation about all the good times we shared and how much we laughed when we worked together.

We discussed how much we miss one another, exchanged some funny stories and silly moments we shared over the years. We both got a bit choked up about the fact we don't get the chance to talk like this on a daily basis but It still was nice to take that walk down memory lane together. It also led to us to make dinner plans for the weekend so we'll get a chance to unwind, relax and laugh until we cry. Sometimes, being the sentimental one has its benefits....
