I Am a Sensitive Person

I try my very best at work, I show that I'm trustworthy, loyal, dedicated..if anything?? progression is something I admire...for the time being?..a chance of promotion and taking on a variety of duties isn't something I'd turn down. In a sense it's not something I want so desperately, to climb the ladder in my current job. Especially if I have my eyes on a different career.. I have wanted all along?..However progression just now would create a healthy CV..The downside to me never feeling like I'd ever get given the opportunity is>>>..Because I'm too sensitive, I'm too nice, I'm too easy..And this goes back to being loyal and dedicated..I'm guilty of saying "Yes"..And it certainly works and makes me suited to my current position..Like they say "Do a good job, then get stuck with it!"...I don't know why?..But I have a feeling, that to achieve promotion to the next stage..you need to show you're no pushover, that you can stand you're ground!!, and show authority....I am always helpful,..always happy to fill in for people...But If im too easy?, too sensitive?..They might not see me as a strong employee...they're scratching at the surface, I'm giving my all..I'm going nowhere xx

Not all jobs have upward mobility but you're right I think when you believe that being more assertive is a strong character trait for a leadership role..
But you can also demonstrate your abilities by showing initiative..
Doing what needs to be done whether or not it's your job..
Within reason of course..

Assert yourself and make sure your supervisor knows that you know more than just your job..
That you're capable of multi tasking and delegating authority as well as being able to teach your peers how to do the job..

Why should it matter how sensitive a person is,people should be promoted on their merit, sometimes people who are atad sensitive actually make better management material,it dosent mean your a push over

So what if you fall...get up..dust yourself off and do it again...until you succeed and win!
