I Believe That Long Distance Relationships Can Work

To be honest, I mostly call you just to hear your voice. I may ask about your day though I don't have much to say. Each call is just a ruse hoping you'll agree to whisper any tidbit in my ear. If I could only replace this plastic phone with your lips pressed lightly on my mine, cut our distance, miles to inches and have you right here. For now, I'll ask that you rroll your Rs and please don't hesitate to deliberate on the sound of each hard consonant. Feel free to pronounce each long vowel with your sweet Spanish voice and forgive me when I forget what we discussed. I am always too busy enjoying your accent.

Technology is a wonderful thing and yet, it is also something that seems to be taking away personal interaction. It is a shame how many hearts grow cold living a life online instead of in the real world where people actually interact and communicate face to face. A sad thing, not only now, but to foresee our future in a world where people already think it is ok to break up via text or start long distance relationships online that rarely cultivate. Perhaps I have seen too much as a moderator and my years online, but I find it sad that folks would rather take a chance online than in person. Personally, I'll stick to face to face interaction when it comes to my heart. LOL.

You are on here. What if perchance you did find someone online? Would you throw it away?

You are right about the accent. It is sweet. And the light 'g's and 'j's which are not pronounced. Very sweet.
