When you're a kid, it ain't always easy to make the best decisions. When I was 11, my dad had a girlfriend without my mom knowing. I knew, though. At the time, I didn't know how to handle it. It was either telling her and be in the middle of their fighting or let mom find out and still be in the middle. It was the first time in my life where I couldn't see any positive outcomes in a situation. Anyhow, mom found out and I got hell for it. We moved on long ago, but somewhere I think is still resentment.

Don't beat yourself up. It ain't easy to deal with serious shit like this. Not for nobody. Hey, the worst thing that could happen is saying something and nothing changes with your friend. But you can always look back and say you had the guts to try when you could have easily looked away.

I scared when I was young but we can always get better as we grow. I learned a lot how to fight and protect my friends and loved ones. Never give up and fight on.
