I Like Politics

Personally i find it shocking that NONE of the parties seem to have been prepared for the possibility of a Brexit win !
And there's May trying to insist her leadership is worth having an election over......Quite possible she's overestimated her chances of winning this too.

I don't know I was really saddened by the results of the bye elections, I guess when people are doing 'ok' they don't care for anybody else.

The Tories like being in power but hate having to be responsible for anything !
Hence May's poor showing at the dinner with Juncker this week.
And quite where they think they're going to privatise is a thought !........Prisons ?.......Schools ?......Everything else they sold during Thatcher's period in office.
This is why pensions are messed up; hospitals are flatlining (pardon the euphemism) elderly care is farmed out to private companies and no one anywhere is happy !
The Liberal Democrats are dead in the water.
pro-Europe, pro-private healthcare; pro- private pension fund management. If they publish a manifesto with those ideals i doubt they'll come in third.
Which leaves Labour. Corbyn is a divisive figure, however you slice it.
To many he's a hero of the old left-winger days protesting against change within the Labour movement. To others he's a relic of an era which saw Labour lose 4 elections in a row !
I can understand him being put in place at the time he was, but he can't get support from many of his own, let alone the majority of the electorate !
So, i suspect we'll have a Conservative win and they'll crow about the 'massive majority' they'll have. Until somebody reminds them only 30+% of the electorate actually bothered to turn out and vote !

I'm hoping for a hung election with Labour/Lib Dems it's still a very poor option but the best chance of a terrible bunch. I frequently discuss politics with friends and they regularly say 'but you've always voted Labour/Conservative,' which is hugely disappointing as it shows the mindset of people when you have an opposing view to their's.
