I Don't Follow Or Worship Celebrities

Everyone has the same value. But had we lost these two, it would have made the news.

It would have. Curious how we have come to believe that because someone is visible they have more intrinsic value, when often the opposite is true. The more time humans spend in the spotlight, the less humane they often become.
@Mamapolo2016 Well, I don't think they have less intrinsic value, either. But I don't see anyone as being more important than anyone else, and spotlighting promotes the notion they are.
@PhoenixPhail They don't naturally have less intrinsic value, but as their fame increases, not always, but often, their opinion of the worth of others decreases.
@Mamapolo2016 Yeah. It's sad when that happens.

Yep. If only these guys had been on the plane we probably would have heard about 9/11.

And in all honesty, does EVERYONE have the same value? I mean, value has a definition. I think that people who are generating hundreds of millions of dollars, and entertaining hundreds of millions of people, maybe actually be contributing more "value" than some guy sitting in a prison cell.

Still, a crazy turn of good fortune for these two and their families. I'd be curious if they have any 'survivors guilt.'
@Ynotisay I understand your position. So far as I'm concerned, everyone has the same value, regardless of who they are or what they do. I might not like the content they offer, but that has nothing to do with the value of the person. To me, saying some guy sitting in a prison cell (or maybe, someone like Saddam) has less value, is like saying he has less God in him. The things some people do may be ungodly, but the people, themselves, all share the same value. Just my opinion.

I don't worship them, but there are a few who I do know that are good people.

@PhoenixPhail yes. My favourite answered a message I sent him on Facebook.
@SW-User Very nice. People are people, regardless of their professions. There's good and bad everywhere.

@PhoenixPhail precisely!
