That so gross. I stepped in my boot once and pulled it up to get it on when I felt something squishy and heard a squeak. I kicked of my boot so fast. They where by the door, a dying mouse crawled in it. I sprayed clorox cleaner on my foot, called my neighbor to dispose of the body, dry heaved a little and cried. FML

I've seen a maggot burrowing into tissue that was very much alive. It crawled away from the wound and attempted to burrow into skin some distance away. It actually left a small crater

They are the best thing for cleaning a wound. Doctors use them because they only eat the dead tissue. Nothing else can do that.

Maggots don't eat living flesh. They only eat stuff that is dead and rotting. Since you are not dead nor are you rotting the maggots are not eating you.
