I'll Never Give Up

I remember what it was like to feel my heart ache with each beat.

My friends chimed in with the wisdom they had gleaned from movies and glossy magazines - plenty of fish in the sea... better to have loved and lost... time heals all...

But love is a personal creed at the end of the day, it is a private religion that burns inside, fueled by the passion of the person we hold to be more valuable than anything else. The meaning it breathes into you becomes who you are, and if you lose it, you simply cease to exist. What my friends could not understand is that they were talking to a ghost.
