I Care About The Environment

Global Warming and Climate change is a real issue which should be addressed. The crux of the problem is it is considered as a myth by some people. The first step to solving this problem is to accept that climate change is a problem. Once accepted as a problem, our miseries would ease somewhat. There is experimental evidence on global warming and climate change. A few of them rising sea levels, floods, fires, more hurricanes. Aren't they happening already?
There are very clear indicators of climate change and it warns us that sitiuation may become more threatening in the near future.
We should start caring for the earth.

to solve a problem, you first have to accept there IS one. many of our countrymen, dont want to see the scary thing,, they want to live in the 1950's when every thing was good and we ruled the world.. Sorry kids,, Not a thing.
the Data Set about Warming, is decades old. and even the most adamant scientist-opponent, Dr Richard Mueller, has gotten the Koch Bros, to fund a study to re examine the info
Result? he admits it IS true and even WORSE than predicted.
Move away from the coast people, and go north

Agreed. Except climate change deniers will never accept or admit that global warming is a problem.

There is an uprising though, people are recognizing it. Standing Rock started a global wake up call. Indigenous peoples are fighting the Oil oligarchy. In fact, the documentary ‘Awake’. Is on Netflix. What they did there, what we’ve done there grew. We need to be vocal and don’t let the deniers claim the narrative. Of course, this was going to happen but human kind has accelerated it by perhaps thousands of years.

Any problems involved with global warming will fade out of significance when we run out of fossil fuels. Here's hoping we can discover enough renewable energy sources before that happens...

@Amylynne That was a very comprehensive reply. It's good to know that there is plenty of possibilities out there. Eventually coal will be totally banned from energy production because it is essential for steel production..
Amylynne · 26-30, F
@walabby nat gas is an alternative to coal too, but unlike aluminum, electrical induction is just too hard
walabby · 61-69, M
@Amylynne yes it is, but it too will one day be all gone...

I think that the reality will prove to be that we won't stop adding CO2 to the atmosphere until fossil fuels are all gone. All Indians and Chinese want two cars in the garage and air-conditioning too, just like we have. We might slow down CO2 production, but not stop it.

@MartinTheFirst that seem like circular reasoning, is your position that there can be No civil discourse? HAve i not been polite to you? you said
people such as yourself
do you mean women? bi-coastals? Caucasians? the educable? what kind of person do you think i am?
you may take this up in messages if you want, i unerstand the stress of public discussion, can be difficult
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Amylynne The way you're speaking, making assumptions, giving me choices to choose from of what I mean when you ask me about what I mean. All of it just screams wrong, sorry but you and me won't be having this discussion.
Amylynne · 26-30, F
@MartinTheFirst what assumptions. tell me your OWN choices,
