When I first saw you [I Write Poems]

This writing was based on strangers or acquaintances seeing each other but only for a brief moment but never having the chance to fully introduce themselves. I saw ads of these strangers posted to seek and find those kinds of strangers again. To take them out for a cup of coffee or to see if they might remember them.

I saw your smile
As you looked up from your phone
Was it a funny photo
Or a wholesome text message
Your eyes shifted
But I was your passing glance
Almost invisible

I gulped
Why did it had to be this moment
Minutes turned into seconds
A crowd formed and I was in a trance
To me
You stepped out of a dream

Within my vision
You rushed
To catch your train

I blinked my eyes
Wanting to speak
but no words to my avail
