Proof: Pineapples do not grow on trees!

curiosi · 61-69, F
I have grown pineapples, lots of fun. They are so cute when they are small and then it seems like overnight they are big and ready.

I have never been so surprised when we went to tour the Dole plantation. I was expecting shady groves of pineapple trees. I love love love pineapple.

I love pineapple.
I have grown the plants. It is easy. You chop them off below the stem. And then you plant in soil. Keep the handling low as the roots are very delicate. I have never grown the fruit as it is never hot enough here. The plants are pretty though.

Who thought that? I once successfully grew a single pineapple in NE Georgia. It took like two years and it was tiny but it turned out to be a very tasty house plant.

This can't be true! Next you'll be trying to tell me that peanuts don't grow on trees. 😉

I thought you got pineapples when you cross pollinated a pine tree with an Apple tree... 🤔
