Is special education teacher a good calling to have ?

CountScrofula · 41-45, M
It is not an easy calling. You have to very passionate about the work and be willing to not make a ton of money. But it's certainly a vital and important one.

Very long story
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@antisocialbutterfly Well fair enough. You can share if you want, but if not keep in mind that you don't need to plan out the rest of your life this very moment. Go in a direction you're comfortable with. It's easier to change than people make it out to be.

Ok

I vote yes. You’re blessed if you choose this career.
life14 · 31-35, F
Yes, if you are good at it and have passion for helping people.
antisocialbutterfly · 22-25, F
@life14 I hope so
A calling it would need to be. Those who embark on that journey are special in their own right. Do you have enough patience and love of children?
If so, go for it. I've known some really special people who became educators of children with special needs.

Of course! As noble a calling as any job that improves and enriches human lives.

Thanks @puck61
Definitely. Very noble and important work. My friend's done this for almost 20 years now, and she finds it very rewarding.
