You can smoke weed openly pretty much anywhere in LA these days as long as you are outside and not near a school. Cop seriously don't care.

It's still illegal on a federal level. State laws have worked around this by keeping it out of sight for the most part. If you smoke it in public, you're asking for trouble.

That's a good question. There are non-smoking ordinances in California where you can be cited for smoking [b]anything[/b] within a certain distance of residences or businesses.

@bijouxbroussard legalizing weed always bothered me, because I feel like the sneaking around part is most of the fun. It creates great stories but having a store to go to whenever I want sounds nice too. Is it like drinking in public just a fine or go to a drunk tank until you sober up.
