I Remember September 11th 2001

It doesn't seem like almost seventeen long years since that awful day. September 11th 2001 changed the world forever. On the day it happened, I had just moved into a student house for my final year at university. I was only 21 at the time. I was discussing the problem of evil with my non-Christian, but thinking about it, housemate when someone called and told us to turn the news on. Quite ironic, really.

It occurs to me that most of the children and young people I work with in school were either not born, or are far too young to remember. For that reason it is important that we remember and tell the story to future generations. After all, they live in the world created by September 11th 2001.

I am not an American, but I love this song. It has an important message:

Then Prime Minister Tony Blair's comments:

Yeah makes me feel old that kids nowadays were not even born yet.
