I Love My Dogs With My Whole Heart

I have two westies (West Highland White terriers). The second one was adopted from a family who couldn't take care of him anymore.
I'm so happy to have them in my life. The female got six years old on May, 1st. I lived such bad moments when she was only one year old and she was sick. I didn't know what was happening with her. She was tited, vomited, bad face...It was such a bad moment when her vet told me that she had one side of her heart bigger than the other.
I took her for a diagnosed and I remember that I was waiting in a coffee-shop with my dad for the vet's call and I couldn't stop crying.
When the vet told me that it was a genetic thing and that they could fix it with surgery, I saw the heaven.
Now, she's a sane doggie who is loved so much for her owners.

No. My doggie is alive. She is 6 years old now and she is a happy dog. The surgery was a suscess.
I'm happy that your shelter can help all these animals.
I would wish people could sterilised their doggies so there weren't so many dogs without a home.

Me gusta! Me gusta! Awwww.... how very sweet of you to adopt those little doggies. So sad about one of them :( :( :( . I deal with dog death often at the animal shelter and it never gets easy but death is a part of life.

Sorry so much! Is it like you have to put them to sleep if they aren't adopted within a period of time. Here, in the Town Hall shelter do it. I neither want to think about it!!

Westies are so cute... Like little old men with big white mustaches :D

Our shelter is no-kill. They live there until they are adopted - some take over 2 years. Only put to sleep when there is no other choice - like what happened with your clown doggie :(

True! They are called "clown doggies".
