They are probably concerned about some of the creepy and dangerous things that happen to young girls on line, even really smart ones. It's great to have that late evening free time... you could find other ways to enjoy it, like reading or drawing or writing or thinking quietly...

Maybe they don't want you to burn out from not getting enough sleep since you have to get up early for school.

Get up early in the morning instead of staying up late ... and knock on mom and dad's bedroom door at 5:45 AM telling them you are awake now and it is before 11:00 PM so you would like your computer so you can google something

with me its the same, but parents do things like this. i'm always doing what they say i have good grades but i never do aything good and suddenly nothing electronic after 11

You can stay up all night long, but there's nothing you need to be doing online or with electronics after 11 pm. Read a book.

They sound concerned for your wellbeing. When you're legally an adult you can do what you want you know. But for now, it's not such a bad idea to listen to them

Bright lights at night can be very harmful, the contrary of me breaking that rule. My excuse is that I'm interested in programming.

My dad took my phone for weeks before it was horrible!
