How to comfort your wife when she's upset ? [I Marriage]

My wife is gonna delete her Facebook for a while she's tired of reading everything bad happening to kids she's pregnant she doesn't feel like putting up with it also she has a 10 year old son from her first marriage. She seen something on there that a young girl who was sitting outside of a store here in town was being neglected apparently by her drug addicted dad who was standing beside her while she was unconscious. She didn't think something like this would happen here in our town it's never happened before. She said the girl looked appears to be about 5 or 6 years old it didn't give her age but that's how she said she looked. Luckily someone saw it and filmed it and were able to call the cops. I would never abandon my kids that way let alone do drugs in front of them. She also read about a teenage girl who was raped in the water on a beach in front of 1,000 of people what kind of sick person does this. I don't blame her for wanting to delete social media for a while I don't wanna read that stuff. Also a 12 year old girl just delivered a baby in Oklahoma with either her kidnapper or boyfriend who whoever the hell it was. She really hopes we don't have a girl because it seems like more bad stuff happens to girls it traumatized her. How can I make her feel better ? What should I say to her ?
