I Believe That Words Are Powerful

I wish I were a fallen star, sent by God to you.
I’d sprinkle you with twinkle dust and make your dreams come true.
You’d sit out late in the night and stare up at the sky,
Just praying for a glimpse of me to come into your life.
Captured by my beauty and unable to breathe,
You’d share with me your deepest thoughts and pray I’d never leave.
And when your day was over now, as silly as it seems,
I’d sneak in as you slumber and caress you with my beams.
And when I saw the sun creep in and dance across your face,
I’d touch your heart and kiss your soul, then leave without a trace.
From your dreams you would awaken and to the world you’d smile.
And in that instance I would know my life had been worthwhile.
