Here's something for you to learn....depending. For those who like ghost towns and haunted places.....
You should check out Bannack, Montana. A former mining town, founded in 1862, gold was discovered at Bannack in a local creek, and once word got out, it wasn't long until outsiders began to flow in. When gold was also discovered in nearby Virginia City, many prospectors moved there. As you could expect the news brought with it, a more insidious side. Before long the road between the two towns was rife with robbers, murders, and hold-ups. The population finally died out by 1950, but many of the buildings are still wonderfully intact including the Hotel Meade which, I find fascinating.
