I Enjoy Helping Others

I have been blessed with some wonderful people who helped me when I was at my lowest point. People who I didn't know offered me kind words and items that I needed to restart my life. I have never forgotten the feelings of gratitude, which is why if I see someone who needs help, I will try my best to offer whatever I can; even if it is just a smile and a kind word. You never know what little thing may help a person get through a tough time.

I wholeheartedly agree!
There are times when we all struggle.
Unfortunately it's in our nature not to ask folk if they need help!
But in recent years I've learned that there are often some very simple things you can do that folk really appreciate!
Even if it's things like knocking on your elderly neighbours door if you haven't seen them in a few days.
Asking the young single parent, how they are, if you know them well enough to ask!
Chatting to the neighbourhood kids. Fostering mutual respect and genuine interest. After all. This is how communities are created !

Yes Pickle, we need to recreate that sense of community that somehow seems to have been lost along the way. Small acts of kindness are a great place to start turning our world from "me" to "we".
