I Write Poetry
Assumptions always lead to the worst,
It can destroy a friendship and make it suddenly burst,
The courage to look somebody straight in the eye,
To simply ask, why oh why?
Why do we settle for what we concoct in our minds,
To assume the worst is so very unkind,
The chains of indifference can leave friends so far behind.
It will secure those invisible chains which forever bind,
Time, time, time your voracity and speed is so unkind,
Especially for two friends who no longer wish to feel or see as the years unwind...

To simply ask, why oh why?
Why do we settle for what we concoct in our minds,

Especially for two friends who no longer wish to feel or see as the years unwind...
