I Write Poetry
You left fingerprints on my heart which once bled,
Nurtured a soul which needed to be fed,
You read the words within my inner soul,
And typed out the emotions which made me whole,
I was like a library book forever lost in a maze,
You found me, took the time to read me and brought me back from out of my daze,
Wiping the tears from my past within all my sorrow,
Giving me hope in another tomorrow,
You gave me reason to get up and smile,
For the simple things, which in the end make life so worthwhile,
But you left me without a trace or a word,
My heart and soul no longer needing to be heard,
Thrown away like a nothing to this very day,
Left to walk alone in life as I try and make my way,
In the end, we both could never bend,
To find something between a lover and a friend, who both could rely on and depend,
Time passes and two souls forever have now grown far apart,
Just left with distant memories and familiar broken hearts...
