Since I realize laughing in a conservatives face for quoting that facts don't care about your feelings from ben sharpio an then asserting facts are rarely ever on Republicans side and it's YOUR feelings they don't care about is not exactly the way to win the battle of intellectual rigor I will now formally respond and show you that conservatives do in fact not have facts on their side.
Take for instance their sincere belief that owning a gun will protect them and their familiies
it's the "common sense" conservative idea that you need a gun because you never know what might happen and the police take too long to get there. Well that idea is horseshit. as I will now site studies proving.

anyone in your home owning a gun at all increases the likely hood of you getting shot with it, whether it's your gun or your flatmates doesn't matter. Any home where there's a gun you are far more likely to be shot by it than you are to protect your family from a breakin burgular or rapist or whatever sort of criminal you fear.
