I Am From The Millennial Generation

As a millennial who votes in every election that's held it's disappointing to me how many of my fellow young people stay home or stay out of the political process and don't vote. The Two parties ignore our issues and what we care about because we're unreliable at the ballot box and too likely to stay home and watch MTV doing one hitters or the like. We're politically disengaged as a generation and as a result we're written off by elected officials.

We outnumber the Baby Boomer generation and if we all voted as a block we could Push our Agenda in spite of all opposition. No one could stop us.

Yet we give up our power. We don't use it. We don't vote.

If you're disappointed at the options in november the solution isn't to stay home it's to show up and get involved in the Primaries that take place in the parties so we're not faced with two bad options.

If we had all voted for Bernie and showed up during the Primary Bernie would have been the Democratic Nominee. Too many of us stayed out and voted for NO ONE.

It's why the Drug war is ongoing, It's why Mass incarnation is still a problem. It's why Free college is not a thing. It's why our issues are taken for granted and written off by the elected officials. We don't vote.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE fellow I beg you millennials start voting. Vote in the midterm this November. Show up November 6, 2018

Yes, your vote always counts and its going to be more important than ever to effect any kind of change.

to anyone who feels like their Vote doesn't count. The margins are ever getting closer and closer in every Election.
People think that the problems are so huge that it seems like an impossibility to do anything, but ONE person can absolutely make a difference
