I Am British

British and proud. Proud of our island nation. Proud that our people decided we had had enough of interference in our sovereign laws from EU beurocrats and voted to leave the European Union. And I'm happy to debate Brexit with any of the remoaners

Love from Jen xx

Well said jennny I voted leave as well, but an annoyed at the way our Brexit negotiators have let Brussel dictate to us from day one. We have the biggest card up our sleeves, that is the 39 billion eu want, when legally we don't have to pay a penny, so let's start telling EU they won't get a penny, and we will walk away ,watch them change there tune then, but we have to stand up and go this

Hi Jenny Since we joined the EU we have lost a considerable part of our Motor Industry our Ship Building Industry and Steel Industry we'll never get back them back we weren't allowed to put Tarriffs in place to stop cheap steel flooding into Britain I worked in the Steel Industry most of my life and lost a well paid job which I worked hard to get I blame the silly politicians who simply feather their own nests they end up winning what ever happens those Industries had well paid jobs which have gone forever.

Good for you. The EU is/was a bad idea in the first place.
SW-User
@westwiiler it's too big and too powerful. It was designed to be a common market but became all about politics with its own parliament its own flag and own currency giving itself power to override the laws of sovereign state members xx
westwiiler · 51-55, M
Exactly.....people want power and if given the opportunity they will take advantage of it.
Remoaners? What a great word!
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
And no one outside of Britain gives a damn as your island vanishes into irrelevant obscurity. LOL
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@SW-User Don't blame me, I didn't vote for Donnie Hookerhumper. Then again, you've got the National Front over there.
SW-User
@ChipmunkErnie love inaccurate and woefully ignorant rebuttle. Irrespective of your voting stance he is your country's leader and your representative, it is naive to devorce yourself from that fact.

The NF though a politcal party as no influence on government, very much like the "monster raving looney party". UK politics is open to all, there is no requirement to be a multi-millionaire! ☺
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@SW-User That's like saying anti-Hitler Nazis should have just said Oh well, he's Fuhrer, I'll just go along with him." Might be fine for the people who gave the world Neville Chamberlain, but not me.
kevlar · 46-50, M
hey Jen. I voted leave and its like a dirty secret when I tell people! I read some of your posts about you losing your partner. Im so sorry it must be beyond heartbreaking and so painful I cant imagine.
SW-User
@kevlar I also voted leave and I am not ashamed to tell anyone xx
SW-User
Me too, it's unfortunate the government still refuses to accept the people's decision.

Conjuring up 'no plan' at all seems a good way to be able to say "we told you it wouldn't work" in hindsight.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
Hi Jen that's quite an unusual view for a younger person, I believe most youngsters voted remain. How do you think we will benefit from leaving?
SW-User
@MrAverage1965 we will be able to negotiate our own trade deals and have our own laws without being over-ruled by those across the Channel xx
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
But we don't know if our trade deals will be better than those we had in the EU or what price we will have to pay to trade with the EU.
We could be worse off.
JrEwing · 46-50, M
Sounds like you're looking for trouble lol 😯
SW-User
@JrEwing not at all hunni
JrEwing · 46-50, M
@SW-User Oh don't mind me. I'm just here to watch the show lol 😂
nuddie · 61-69, M
I also voted leave, the sooner we get out the better
the thousands of protesters clearly thoguht otherwise... you ruiend yourself britain.. but good riddance we wont take you back
SW-User
@Strawberrry have you seen the rise in right wing political parties across Europe with promises of referendums on EU membership. The € has caused po verty in Greece and Italy it was a disaster from the outset and we will be better off being an independent island again
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Strawberrry Not so. The polls (which of course got the referendum wrong) show very little change in support for leave/remain.
@MartinII you clearly have different sources then
bhatjc · 46-50, M
More power to you sweet Jen
SW-User
Oh im sorry, you don't like when other countries impose laws on you? Then what were the last 300 years about?
SW-User
@SW-User next time you have a brain fart leave the window open! 😉
MartinII · 70-79, M
Great to hear from you!
supersnipe · 61-69, M
