[image deleted]There’s a very consistent reason why people have relationship problems and wind up in an unhealthy dynamic.
Bad communication!
There's what they call[b] egocentric communication[/b], wherein a party is a bad listener and only communicates about his thoughts and feelings, without the communication being a two-way street back and forth.
And there is what they [b]call stonewalling communication[/b] where a party chooses to say absolutely nothing about how he feels. Which I am guilty of.😞
Yet we want direct, empathic communication wherein both parties speak up warmly and with compassion – at the speed of light -and nip problems in the bud before they grow unruly.
We have to first own our part in the problem, so we can disown our part in the problem. It’s easier to smoosh a little monster than a big monster. To speak up warmly at the speed of light, as I said. It’s always better to have a difficult small conversation sooner, rather than try to mend a hugely difficult problem later, that it becomes futile to trace back the lines. To speak up warmly and with empathy.🙂
How I appreciate people who are honest in a warmly direct way. There's less hurt, stress and surprise battle to be fought. And more communication, understanding and peace of mind.🤒
