I Express Myself Through Writing
"Winter's Cold Whisper,
December's Cold Kiss."
Winter's cold whisper,
Spoke to me this early morning,
I threw another log onto the fire,
Heeding her warning.
But as the day burned on,
A cool Autumn breeze blew in,
Signifying the end of a season,
And the start of another,
About to begin...
And if past behavior, is any indication,
This coming winter's,
Going to be a Mother.
So as I arrive home, before I retire,
I throw another log, gently onto the fire.
December's kiss, is just a heartbeat away,
Fire and ice, the theme of the day,
Relaxing, with a nice glass of Red,
Visions of Jack Frost, dance in my head.
My family gathers 'round, and celebrates the end of their day,
As the magic of the fire,
Keeps winter's warning at bay.
