There are 41 countries that recognize sign language as an official language [I Love to Learn]

There are estimated to be 72 million deaf people around the world. I just learned that there are also about 300 different sign languages—including American Sign Language and International Sign Language—as well as 41 countries that recognize them as an official language.

Always baffled me why we continually try and teach kids French and German in UK schools when if they invested the same time; money and energy teaching sign language there's a skill they could take anywhere !

international sign language sounds interesting.
I know that certain gestures don't translate the same depending on where you are. For example, this 👌🏾 in America is good. The same gesture in Brazil is the same as a middle finger
