I Think My Parents Dont Care About Me

I know my parents don’t. To them I’m a disappointment. I’m not what they want nor do I fit in with their perfect family image. Every thing that’s slightly flawed about Me seems to hurt that image more. Wet the bed Once As a kid then get a 20 minute lecture about how I’m too old for it. Had a tantrum get grounded. But either of my brothers do that then it’s just an accident. The differences in how we are treated is so vast
I can see that it is getting into your head too. Don't let them in there! Just because they don't appreciate you doesn't mean others wont appreciate you.

Wetting the bed is so common in people of all sorts of ages , it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I just turned 20 and I have a toilet in my room for my problems, if it’s a regular thing put towels on your bed or plastic bags underneath the sheets to protect your mattress. With the tantrum thing , that’s normal as young people are trying to express their feelings and want to be listened to or blow of some steam , I would try and sit down and talk to them about how they are making you feel.
could be worse you could have had a mother like mine. She gave us a good hard spanking with the hairbrush every time we had accident

@Louiseknightly sorry i should have done my reply a bit better. My mother was a control freak. Every thing we did was under her supervision. I would have loved to be ignored and left alone some times

Sadly some parents are like that. They fail to realise everyone is different and to look for reasons to be proud of their kids.

Work on being the kind of person YOU can respect. You don't need to live up to someone else's standards because ultimately how you feel will depend on what you see in the mirror everyday. Be your own best friend. Take good care of yourself.

That's very hard and it's not fair. I don't understand why it happens.

About all you can do is be the best you that you can and remember that what they say about you isn't true. 🤗
