old covid, new covid, covid 2.0. It's all just different marketing to scare you - it is just the name that has been given for the flu/cold during 2020.

Things will change but it doesn't have anything to do with any virus. Everything we have seen and experienced has been due to the governments response. "COVID" is all about money and power.

I think many people have been intellectually very lazy and have not even questioned for a second any of the 'news' that gets published. Anyone can search "deaths in 2020 ONS" you will find provisional figures for England and Wales that look like a normal year, and less than previous years. They aren't figures that indicate a deadly pandemic at all.

When are we all going to stand up and claim our freedoms back?

I don't think it's going to be much different at all....other than trump being flushed away. The vaccines won't be given out to all until mid-to late summer. That means the virus will continue to spread and kill until at least the end of 2021. 45% of the morons in America think if they take the shot it's some kind of Dem mind control...DUH!!!! So they won't take it at all. Unless there is at least 85% shot compliance this will keep spreading. New strains are out there already that are twice as contagious and no one has a real clue if this vaccine will work for the new strains??

The economy will take a long time to jump start back to 2019 levels. A lot of businesses and services closed in 2020 won't re-open so those jobs are gone permanently. There will be just as much hate and ignorance and division in America politically. The bottle of bigotry, racism, hatred and white supremacy trump uncorked in 50% of America isn't going away soon.

I think people are way too overly optimistic that all of our problems will just magically disappear in 2021. It don't work like that. The moment of a train crashing into something don't just stop 1" after it hits a barrier. The damage done by the virus's poor management and the impact of that all across society and the economy here and globally will keep pounding us long after the trump train derailed and crashed.

life goes on regardless of any virus. 'the virus' is manifestly not dangerous with even the smallest glance at statistics. Have you seen anyone die of the plague? If it wasn't for all the hype and lockdowns you would never have even noticed there was a pandemic, would you?

There would be a case for social distancing, masks, lockdowns if there really was the plague. There isn't. I know none of you believe that because the BBC/NHS/CNN told you otherwise. And the mainstream media always tells the truth.

We are people. We are MEANT to socialise, to exchange information, to hug, to comfort, to love, to know, to correct,to acknowledge etc etc. You can't do that if you can't see anyone!

Locking people up and wearing masks is inhumane and cruel. Everybody looks the same, you can't hear or speak to people properly. You don't know if someone is smiling or sad. Children do not get to see their friends, all of their extra curricular activities are cancelled.

The whole thing is plain, grievous, evil, cruelty.

@anythingoes477 Well anyway. I been in school since March and the virus has changed and we all need to keep distance and wear masks but we don't. We go off to Switzerland to ski. We go to Bondi Beach for Christmas Dinner like it's 2019. This virus is going to go away if you think you can do that!

Why do British people behave as if it's 2019. They go skiing in the Alps. They go to Awstralia for Christmas. Have they not heard we are at war with a virus. A virus that now kills young people.

The year will change as time goes on, with regards to covid!!
