All our family photos were black and white
When we were kids we had a Box Brownie which only took black and white photos, and whenever dad took a photo of us he would have to have the sun behind him and we would be looking straight at him and invariably towards the sun, and dad would say smile don't squint, easy for him to say, he wasn't looking towards the sun 馃槕

Many of mine were also B&W. Later, around when I was 12 they were color.
Must say not even the B&W ones were taken on such an antique though! 馃槅
Even in high school some of our oldest cameras were yashica c's. 馃槉
