I Love Christmas
As the snow fills up this mountainside, I find myself longing to be with you, to kiss your lips and hold your hand, the way that I used to do. I miss you most at Christmas, the hot chocolate and marshmallows that we used to share. All of the treats from cookies to cakes leaves me wishing that you were still here. I get down on my knees and say a prayer that wherever you are tonight, you are safe and sound. No matter the distance I want you to know, that if you ever need me, I will always be around.
You were my Christmas angel, the light that shone through my darkest days. You have been my anchor through every storm, the reason why I am still alive today. It is your love that has kept me going. Just the thought of you sets my mind at ease. However, not knowing where you are each day makes it difficult for me to achieve all of the goals that I have set forth in my life, the dreams that I had when you were here. I feel like everything has fallen apart, all I have left now are my tears.
