yea you can feel more empathy towards others..but also it makes you vulnerable to get affected by things too..you just cant have an on-off switch for feelings..

Although this is largely true, you can pretend to have an on-off switch enough times that you can, over time, actually feel the relief -when assuming such a posture as if you had.

That depends on what type of people you prefer to or are most likely to be among, I would think. The nearer you are to people of your own ilk, probably the easier. Yet less self enlightening. So it depends on your projected goal and your endurances.

It's a mixed bag. I suspect insensitive people have a less painful life, but OTOH they piss off a lot more people and miss a lot of opportunities.

Its good to be sensitive to others and their going on's.. However it can be dangerous to be sensitive in general. Which is utter b.s. because it shouldn't be like that..

It's good in that you can sense and feel others emotions, makes good artists. Negative is you hurt a lot.
