How important do you think moral courage is in a human life?

How does it compare to physical courage? Is it something we're born with or is it developed, and, if so, how is it developed?

Any stories you'd be willing to share regarding yourself or someone else who provided an example of moral courage for you?

Has anyone here had to explain this to your children? What did you do or say to explain it?

Courage is extremely important. We are here on earth to learn and grow. This takes courage and sometimes EXTREME COURAGE. We all have it within us but we must choose it. For many laziness is far too appealing and we run from it.

The story of Adam and Eve is one of laziness. They chose to listen to the serpent rather than formulate questions and ask God. They weren't punished they had to learn for themselves what laziness would cost them.

I have a relative who refused this growth and rather decided not to grow. She married young right from her parents house into the marriage. While he was a good man and didn't abuse her he took care of all her needs choosing everything for her. He passed and she still refused to care for herself. Insisting that she needed to live with her child. The child refused and the last years of her life were of formulating plans to show how helpless she was. Staging accidents etc. It was very easy to see through and the child was unmoved. She grew more and more bitter until she did something so awful it killed her. Note that the timing was such to cause heartache. All because she refused to dig within look for courage and grow.
