Do you really believe in helping people?

Or is it just a figure of speech for you?
nedkelly · 61-69, M
I help people every single day, they come to see me for help with debts, debt collectors harassing them, sort out an affordable payment options., assist paying electricity and gas accounts - just an average day

@nedkelly That’s awesome. You’re a philanthropist. 🤗🤗🤗
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@SimplyTracie I am a financial counsellor, and we have special funding for utilities, and my service is free
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@nedkelly Still, donating your time is awesome too. Many others would rather be fishing.

Of course.
Kindness is contagious. Once you give good to the world, it strengthens the cycle of kindness and it will come back to you.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User I agree. So much comes from giving. I wish I was more giving.

@SimplyTracie How did the ant situation work out?
SW-User
@SimplyTracie next time you're getting a coffee, pay for somebody else's too :) simple yet effective

I genuinely go out of my way to help people, I like it especially without asking anything in return

Nope
Takes me enough time to look after myself
Bushmanoz · 56-60, M
Nope, it's one of the most rewarding things there is about being a human being, But I do it for myself in that if I help someone out I feel Like ive done something good, we both get a cool memory from it, and if they can, hopefully will pay it forward
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Bushmanoz That’s awesome. 😊
switchfoot · 36-40, M
@Bushmanoz And how far have you went...has it ever backfired?
Bushmanoz · 56-60, M
@switchfoot No, never backfired, you just have to be respectful about it, you can ask people if you could pay for their dinner, if someone doesn't have the money for fuel or groceries you can bend over and say "excuse me, you just dropped this money out of your pocket" it can be anything a person needs, soo many ways to lend a hand, even just talking to someone who looks upset.

I really believe in helping others. I do it quite often. Random acts of kindness. It just might make someone's day.
I sincerely try and help if able. One thing is knowing the difference between "helping" and being an easy touch and you have a hard time saying "No". I recently had to set boundaries with someone who has borrowed money several times in the span of one month.

This not only caused me my own hardship financially it forced me into having to play the "heavy" by giving them a firm NO!

What else better to do in life?
SW-User
It's a way of life. What if you needed help, God forbid. It's a good feeling to be able to give to others.
Erik712 · 22-25, M
There are so many chances to help me because of my disability, so I try to help others as often as I can.
Oster1 · M
