I'm trying to get a job in sports analytics.

@tdawg I was thinking about that. Though I used to intern for a newspaper so I was thinking a blog might be better suited for me but that has way less potential viewers.

@tdawg True but sports analytics doesn't necessarily mean I'll have to do any public speaking. I'm talking about the analytic departments that teams higher to calculate the most effective shots, player analysis, statistical tracking etc.

I'm currently an Econ/Poly-scy (probably make the political science a minor soon) major and will probably try to work for a general data analysis company and then try to orient my work towards sports.

@BeefySenpie At first I wasn't going to try it since its such a competitive market but I figure I should at least try.

If it doesn't work out my background in Economics will be a good background to go into finance. The best thing is to have transferable skills.
