How do you personally tell if someone is toxic for you to talk to?

If you come away more miserable than happy.
If their attitude is always negative.
If they enhance your life, or spoil it.
If they are controlling.
If you constantly have to explain or defend yourself.
If they are a user.
Many others.

If their always saying something negative, putting someone down, making jokes at my expense, have a reason something won't work, can't be supportive of anything or anyone, alway up to something shady and trying to talk someone into helping, alway letting someone else do all the work, clingy and needy, they maybe toxic...

If you find yourself explaining yourself and defending yourself more often than having a conversation.

Their energy. How you feel with them...

I'd simply ignore them and not even laugh when they try to make a joke

If my gut response whenever I see them is “aww, [b]crap[/b] !” 😒
