I "don't Judge A Book By Its Cover"

Judge the book by it's cover, I am one of those German "Latte Macchiato Mothers": Arriving at my kids school with an American SUV in the afternoon, music turned on, wearing sunglasses, holding a (refillable) coffee cup, in flip-flops or high heels, mobile nearby. The parents who don't know me, frown at me. I got used to it. Because they will change their mind soon enough...

I'm not driving this car, because it's popular. I'm driving it because I need the space. I'm used to drive half of the kids (most are not mine) to their sports training next town. I carry nearly all day stuff of my patients, my family and friends, the after school center, the garden or my dog with me, even on rough terrain. This parents/people will get to know it, when it's for their children good.

As I get up at latest 4.30 am (to fit everything in my day) and driving around to the patients, I got used to use sunglasses, wearing sport shoes meanwhile (which I'm happy to take off after work) and drinking coffee all day. The coffee and music keeps me fit and I'm addicted to both, even if I don't work.

Still I'm one if those mothers who is there when it comes to make lunch for all the kids in school on "Healthy Lunch Days", who is helping at events like Universal Children's Day, who is in the parent's counsil to organize things for all those kids and making joint tours with them.

So every time I see the gaze of them, I smile back as bright as I can, knowing they will regret their first judgement of me. Never judge a book by it's cover!
