Feeling confident is so satisfying and so sexy. You have a completely different energy about you when you are not worried about other people’s opinions or judgments. Nothing else matter but your happiness.

@WaymanPNW It really is amazing, the difference in energy, isn’t it??
WaymanPNW · 31-35, M
@VelvetSurrender Yes and it is undeniable! You even said yourself how your friends noticed and voiced their desires to be as confident as you are. They see someone who loves the body their in like you and they want that too.

Funny thing ... different version of your story for me.

I have two older brothers (I adore both of them) and I developed a love of skirts, dresses and girly clothes at an early age for one simple reason ... They weren't hand-me-downs. I also am the only girl on both sides of the family in my generation and had two grandmas who loved to indulge my love of girly clothes !!!

At the same time, I was definitely somewhat of a tomboy in that I was heavily into sports ... in fact, I went to college on an athletic scholarship !!!

@NCCindy I love it! I would steal my brother’s shirts to wear and got busted once because I was still in high school and wore his sweater to picture day - he saw the yearbook and took it back to college with him. So I loved your hand-me-downs angle. 😆

Oh that’s awesome. I’m not athletic at all, but they put me on my school’s basketball team once because I was so much taller than everyone else. I had no idea what I was doing. lol

You know, as a guy, I have been amazed to find that despite what everyone told me as a child, dress suits are more comfortable to wear than jeans and a t-shirt.
It may just be self-esteem or it may be better fitting clothes.
VelvetSurrender · 51-55, F
@SW-User It’s interesting, isn’t it, how what we wear can affect how we feel?
Maybe better-fitting clothes can raise self-esteem? Maybe it’s having the self-esteem to wear better fitting clothes. 🤔Maybe I can look at a situation from a hundred angles. 😆

I grew up on a big farm with my 4 sisters and none of them would wear women's cloths until they started dating and even then they still dressed like a boy. Today all but one dresses in women's cloths but that may be due to farm life. Anyway, whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Great to read how you embraced femininity in dress and the diference it made!
